Protocol RevisionThis section houses all action items and documents related to the revision of the 2005 Denver Sexual Assault Protocol, with a goal of resiging in 2010. The purpose of the protocol revision is two-fold: First, to ensure that the protocol reflects current policies, legislative updates and other changes that occur over time, and second, to strive for providing the best possible services for sexual assault victims by analzying our current practices and looking for opportunities to evolve. Description of the Revision Process 1) The committee will post draft sections of the protocol on the website in this section. 2) SAIC members will have one month to comment via an anonymous electronic survey. These deadlines will be e-mailed to the Council and housed in this section. 3) The Protocol Revision Committee will review the comments. Responses will vary case-by-case but include researching legislative mandates, policies/procedures, and discussing feedback with the agencies involved in the section. 4) An open meeting will be established to discuss the respective section to finalize the draft section and/or make further revisions. Any proposed revisions submitted by SAIC members requires the autonomous approval of the agency whose section is being reviewed.
